The injustice is real. Black lives matter.

By Global Regulatory Writing and Consulting

Here at Global, we join our voices to express outrage at ongoing instances of inequality and police and
private citizen brutality directed at Black Americans, including most recently George Floyd, Breonna
Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Racism and injustice against our minority brothers and sisters remains
systemic in the United States. We believe that we can and must work together to put an end to this
reality.

We are fortunate to be in a position where we can make positive changes in the lives of those who are
disadvantaged, and we believe it is our responsibility to help improve this world. We have the power to
change things now, and each of us can do something for good no matter how small.

We recognize that none of us are perfect, and that we all have a lot of work to do to understand our
part in creating a better world for everyone. To strengthen our pledge of inclusiveness and to
demonstrate our commitment to real action, Global commits to:

(1) Support our employees in being agents of change for racial justice in their communities. We will
increase our charitable match to $400 for the remainder of 2020 and will support our
employees who wish to participate in peaceful direct action or volunteer efforts.

(2) Include a study and discussion of issues of social and racial justice at our executive‐level team
retreats with a goal to apply the lessons learned within our spheres of influence.

(3) Fund an annual scholarship designed specifically for students of minority groups who wish to
pursue careers in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry in the areas of clinical operations,
medical or technical writing, and/or regulatory affairs.

(4) Pursue Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training to increase our ability to establish and maintain a
high performing, diverse, and inclusive workforce.

All those within our reach – our employees, our clients, our fellow members of industry – we ask you to
stand with us and commit to fairness, equality, and change. If we all work together, we can make a
difference.
